I received a copy of Triple Slow Cooker recipes for review. All thoughts are my own.
My life, like most people’s lives, is busy. I mean kind of crazy busy. I feel like everyone always needs to be on the opposite sides of town all at the same time. With appointments trying to get work done a house to clean and accomplishing everything the kids need, there are more days than not, I just am not interested in cooking come 6 or 7 at night. Which is why I love slow cooker meals.
I am always looking for a new type of meal to make in the crock pot because it can be such a major time saver. I have learned to make desserts in the slow cooker, chilis and soups, even breakfast. But no matter how many meals I make I always want to add more recipes so that we do not become tired of the same old same old.
Triple Slow Cooker has over 100 recipes to make in the slow cooker. It is written to be used with triple crock pot. It is much the same as using a regular slow cooker, but each dish is smaller so you make smaller portions. It means you can make several items for a meal.
The recipes are really great too. There are recipes for apps, soups and chilis, veggies, main courses and desserts. There is over night fruited oatmeal, Asian Chicken Soup, Tuscan Beef and Bean Soup, Bacon Cheese fondue, Bacon wrapped chicken bites, even family favorite mac and cheese. There were lots of things that I would never think to cook in a slow cooker. Gingerbread Latte, wine punch, even caramelized onions, which I would think needed a stove top.
There are some amazing dips that I can not wait to try. There is a crab ragoon, and a cheese burger dip. I love crab ragoons and it is on my list of things to learn to make for myself because I love them but they add up when I buy them from the chinese restaurant.
Do you like to cook in your crock pot? Do you have a triple slow cooker? It is being added to my Christmas wish list for sure.
