Summer time is in full swing here and of course that means hanging out late in the yard, the driveway, and at the neighbors. I am thrilled to be able to stay outside and enjoy the fresh air and hang out together. We love to have picnics that often last way past dark. But the problem comes in because, it is very dark where I live. There are no street lights. And while we have a small light by the driveway it isn’t super bright because then it would bother the neighbors.
So, because it is so dark around ere it is hard for the younger kids to be able to run and play once it gets dark. All of the kids love to play hide and seek or tag, capture the flag, and other games that they usually make up as they go along. We have tried to make due in the past with flash lights, but it can be hard for them to run and play, while trying to manuever the flash lights. And if the little ones turn off the flash lights, then put the flash light down, it is not likely that it will be found before morning.
When I found out about Energizer headlights, I was thrilled. Immediately I could see all the possibilities of these beam headlights. Besides the obvious of camping lights, we could use them for the kids to stay out and play, and no worries of them dropping the flashlight and not being able to find it. Plus, the light is exactly where the kids need it, since it is on their heads. We could, also, use it when working in the crawl space under the stairs, and working in the garage or storage shed. And it would be such a help as Joey is learning how to work on Jimmy’s car, which is waiting for a new alternator right now.
Serenity and I headed over to Walmart to pick up a few things that we needed. While we were there, we checked out the headlights. I wasn’t surprised to see them in the camping section.
While there are other brands available for headlights personally I trust Energizer the most. We always had Energizer batteries in the house, since I was a kid. The batteries lasted the longest and my parents, and now I, always had them in the flash lights. I could not imagine a worse scenerio that have the batteries in a flash light dying, unexpectedly, during an emergency.
It is Father’s day weekend and that means hanging outside most of the weekend. The girls were super excited to try out the new headlights. They decided that it had to be a late night outside, since they could see to run around all night.
I was really impressed with how bright the lights were and how well they lit everything up. The girls had so much fun running around, chasing Joey, and just having the extra freedom to explore the yard, after dark, and not having to have one of the boys attached to them. Even after playing for hours, they are running strong like the Energizer Bunny. and so are their lights.
