My kids love to eat. They eat all the time. So I am big on what they eat. Since they are always asking for a snack, I try really hard to keep healthy snacks like fresh fruit and vegetables on hand. But honestly, it is hard. Sometimes, they eat through all the fresh stuff before I can get to the store, sometimes they just aren’t in the mood and I can’t blame them for that, and sometimes, no matter how seasonal I buy, the fresh fruit and veggies are either just not in the shape I would like, or the price is just too over and above what I would like to pay.
For times like this, I love to have Del Monte Fruit Cups on hand. My kids love them, they are easy to grab and go for school snacks, and there are so many things we can do with them. My kids love all the flavors, especially the diced peaches and the Madarian oranges.Even Anthony will eat his fruit without giving me a hard time.
When my kids decide they would like a fruit and cream sandwich, it is easy knowing that I almost always have the supplies on hand. I want to make sure their treat is on the healthy side.
Fruit and Cream sandwiches:
