My girls love anything with fringes and they love scarves. Serenity, being a Longhorn Cheerleader, is all about black and white. And Willow, who is all about her big sister, has to be into black and white too.
With the last few games being a little chilly, my girls are excited to sport their new easy fun fringe scarves. And they are do simple to make. This easy fringe scarf is an easy DIY project that can be done in 30 minutes or less.
Easy Fringe Scarf Tutorial
Using 1/4 yard of fleece per color, cut the fabric in half, length-wise. Pin the 2 pieces together, one of each color. This is to make it easier. Then sew a straight line down the middle, length wise. I used a sewing machine, but it can easily be done by hand if you didn’t have a sewing machine.
After sewing the line, make the fringes. I made separate fringes on the ends. Using a ruler, cut up 2 inches. I use the width of the ruler as a guide. Then make the fringes on the sides. Again use the ruler width as a guide, cut up 1 1/2 inches, being sure to cut through both layers. Repeat on the other side.
