James McAluney – A varied life

James McAluney has led an interesting life. While many people may not associate insurance sales with interesting, Jim has worked hard to ensure that his personal life is very fulfilling and meaningful as well.

One area of interest for Jim McAluney are the Sisters of the Sacred Hearts Hawaii. “I did a lot of property management, asset evaluation and volunteer work for them from 1996 to 2007,” said Jim in an interview when asked about this connection. While his relationship with this group has changed over the years, he continues to care very deeply about what this group represents.

Jim McAluney is a long time member of the insurance industry, providing a number of services to his clients. What may be more important, however, is his connection to the community. James McAluney is a member of Honu Father-Daughter Group and the Hawaii Association of Environment Professionals. He actively supports the Holy Nativity School, Malama Maunalua and Big Brothers/Big Sisters, all located in Hawaii.

Jim also finds it important to spend time motivating and educating the young. He does this through his efforts as a basketball coach for youth, youth baseball volunteer and youth soccer referee. This kind of time with young people helps to keep him connected with the issues that are affecting the youth of the world today.

Enjoying life, giving back to the community and working hard all make for a well rounded person. Jim seems to have captured the perfect combination of living life well. We should all consider following his example.
