Astronaut Space Pack Water Gun- The Spring Mount 6 Pack

Astronaut Space Pack Water Gun

The days are insanely hot around here. I mean like hitting triple digits before the heat index comes into play. And because of our hectic summer plans this year, I opted to not get a pool membership. (Why, oh why, did I opt to not get a pool membership) So, we have been looking for lots of other ways to stay cool and find fun things to do. sadly, most days we have been spending indoors, until the late afternoon because the strong heat is just too much for Willow.

But even in the late afternoon it is still plenty hot, like in the high 90′s and we are still trying to stay cool outside. One of the funnest ways we have been hanging out and staying cool is playing in the kiddie pool and playing with the water guns and throwing buckets of water. When we were given the chance to check out a new water gun, the Astronaut Space Pack, of course we said yes.

I hate guns, honestly, even water guns. But I have let the kids play with them. I can say that I really love the idea

of this Astronaut Space Pack. What kid doesn’t want to be an astronaut?  The blast shoots over 30 feet. The nozzle tip has 2 ways of shooting, thanks to the split tip. It can shoot straight ahead or it can shoot multi directional.

I love how it has a somewhat large water tank in the back pack because it keeps the kids from having to refill it every few seconds, which is one thing I hate about their usual water guns. The tank seems to last my kids several minutes. Another great feature, especially for a family that has multiple kids that would be using the Astronaut Space Pack, or if you have a child on the older end or the younger end, the back pack part of the toy, has adjustable straps. So I was able to have it fit Serenity and it can fit Willow. It can even fit Joey and Anthony if they wanted to wear it too.

The kids absolutely everything about their new water toy. The girls played with it for 4 hours, and I had to force them to put it away.

As a parent, I did have a few minor issues with it, but they were small and wouldn’t stop me from buying it. My first issue was the tubing that connects the gun part to the backpack is a pain in the but to connect so when Willow decided it was fun to pull it out a few times, it was annoying to put it back in. Mind you she is 2, and she thought it was neat to watch the water POUR out when she yank the tubing out. Another issue when the kids would fill the water tank, the stickers on the tank gets wet, and like stickers tend to do, it is starting to rub away. Now personally I do not care, but if you are someone who is buying the toy for the whole fact that it has the decorations on it, that might be a problem for someone. I am sure if you are very careful, and if it gets wet make sure it doesn’t get rubbed, it would be fine. Ours was being filled in the pool, so it was being dunked and filled with the kids pouring a bucket over it, and they were not exactly careful. So far the sticker only rubbed off in one very small spot, but I can see how it can easily happen.

You can order the Astronaut Space Pack online for $15.95 and it is recommended for ages 5 and up (shh don’t tell that Willow was using it)
